I had no milk, so we had to give our daughter formula immediately. As a newborn, no matter how slow flow anything was, there was more formula on her face and clothes than anywhere else, and everything seemed to be going too fast and choking her. THEN we found tommee tippee. It's amazing - the rate is controlled by the baby, because they need to both compress and suck to get the milk out, just like with a breast. The 1 nipples kept clogging, but this was is great. 4 months after we bought it, they are all still great! Dishwasher safe too.
I only took off a star, because these cost $4.99 on ToysRus, and the 2nd one is half price. So the price on amazon, at $10, is more than double! But the nipple is great.

these nipples compact more naturally like the breast than other bottles i have, and my daughter has no problems. i would recommend the slow flow until your baby is very used to the bottle
